WAIKOUAITI NOTES.

(From Ode Owx Correspondent.) WAIKOUAITI, February 27. FLOWER SHOW. The annual flower show in connection with the Waikouaiti Presbyterian Church was held yesterday, and was well patronised by the public. After the formal opening by the Mayor {Mr Andrew Fell), Mr Howden and Mr Roberts, of Dunedin, who had judged the flower and vegetable sections, were invited to the platform. Both claimed this as a new experience for them, and gave brief and interesting addresses on the classing and staging of exhibits, the educational advantages of naming the variety of potatoes being especially stressed. These judges expressed pleasure at the quality of the exhibits, and several items in the decorative section received great praise. Sweet peas were especially prominent.
