CROQUET.
OTAGO ASSOCIATION’S TOURNAMENT. The Otago Croquet Association’s tournament was continued yesterday in fine weather. Mrs Haigh and Mrs MTheat (Taieri) played an excellent game in the semifinals of the B Grade Doubles, but, in spite of having 8J bisques, were defeated by Mrs Forrester and Miss Mitchell (Leith). Although she is a first season player, Miss Mitchell played a very good, game, and should do well when she plays in A Grade games. Yesterday she laid a perfect break, and made nine hoops in succession. The following are the results of yesterday’s play:— HANDICAP SINGLES. ‘ A Grade, Mrs Osborne beat Mrs Mec, 26 14.
