At, a sitting of the Kaitangata Court yesterday, before Mr H. J. Dixon, S JI., two men named William Good and Thomas M'Kinlay were charged with disorderly behaviour in a railway train when returning from the miners’ picnic at Outram. Constable Moore said the men were drunk, but nothing was known against them previously. Each of the defendants was convicted and fined £3 and costs. the civil case, John Gardner {Mr Kelly) v. Randall Carson, claim £1 13s sd, judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs (8s) Henry Little (Mr Kelly) proceeded against R. M'Millan on a judgment summons for £3 11s 6d, and after hearing evidence as to the debtor’s position, the magistrate refused to make an order.
