ALLEGED SHEEP STEALING.
ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL (Peb United Pbess Association.) 3VIA STERTON, February 26. William Baron, a farmer, of Pigeon’s Bush, appeared in the Featherston Magistrate’s Court to-day before Mr J. Miller, S.M., charged with the theft of five sheep, valued at £7 10s, the property of Morgan Davies, of Pigeon Bush. The accused pleaded not guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at Musterton for trial. Evidence was given by a stock inspector and others who said that in their opinion the sheep in question had had their earmarks changed.
