The final of the Caledonian Singles was played. last night, when A. Tretheway (two lives) defeated C. Tillie (one life) by one point. The Singles Championship of the NorthmaHey dub has again been won by J ; Tonkin, who went through the com P ijit lon , without suffering a defeat, although he was hard pressed on two occasions by T. Sneeston. The first game .between these two.players resulted in tonkins favour by one point, and the second by four. IChe Caledonian Club arrived one rink short at North-East Valley on Saturday, but the local club was able to complete the visitors quota. The annual fixture—eight rinks—between the Dunedin and South Otago Centres will be played on the Otago Club’s green on Saturday afternoon. The annual representative game between Otago and Canterbury will be played in Dunedin on March 6.
