TARIFF TRUCE
THE GENEVA CONFERENCE. A FURTHER SETBACK. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) GENEVA, "February 24. The Tariff Truce Conference received a further set-back by Japan’s refusal to announce her acceptance of the scheme. Mr Yoshina said that while Japan was favourable to a truce she did not see how she could accede to the proposed convention in view of the abstention of China, the United States, India, and Australia.
