Heavy showers fell in Auckland at an early hour this morning, but afterwards the day was fine, the wind being light from the south-west. WELLINGTON, February 25. The weather in j Wellington to-day was fine, with a fair southerly breeze. The night is clear. CHRISTCHURCH. February 25. The weather to-day was cloudy but warmer and brighter in the afternoon, with intermittent sunshine. A light south-west wind changed to the east after midday, and the night is cold. The barometer is steady.
