In the interstate ,lawh tennis tourney the New South Wales men and women’s teams defeated Victoria by, wide margins and won the men’s contest with Queensland, though some > keenly-fought games were witnessed. The most notable feature was the defeat of the Queensland pair, Moon and Cummings, by Hungerford and M'Causland, 7—5, B—6. TKe visitors subsequently won a keenly-con-tested match with Sproule and Dunlop, S-j-7, 7 —5, B—6. The State championships are now in progress, and so are confined to the preliminaries.
