CHARGE OF SAFE-BLOWING.

MINER BEFORE THE COURT. A REMAND GRANTED. (Special to Daily Times.) „ CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. Arrested in Dunedin in sensational circumstances on a charge of safe-blowing, Robert Cockburn, a West Coast miner, appeared before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M m the Magistrate’s Court to-day charged with breaking and entering by night on November 24 the counting house of the Kiwi Dairy Company and stealing £3B, Lockburn. who was smartly dressed, surveyed the court confidently from the dock V: a f not represented by counsel. Chiet Detective J. Carroll stated that there were other charges pending and asked for a remand until January 7. This was granted. It was stated at the time the premises of the Kiwi Dairy Company had been entered that the safe had been blown open.
