An international memorial is being raised at the burial place of Rupert Brooke on the. Island of Skyros. M. Venizelos, Sir Percy Loraine, Mr John Drinkwater, Mr John Galsworthy, and Andre Manrois are the patrons of the scheme. The sum of £3OO has already been stibscribed'in Greece, where Rupert Brooke is regarded as another Byron.
