INJURY TO WOODFULL.
BONES IN HAND BROKEN.

Woodfull, Australia's opening batsman, who was struck on the hand by a ball from the fast bowler, Harwood,' is found to have the third and fourth metacarpal bones of his left hand broken. ,_-He may be unable to play again before the test side is chosen for England.

VICTORIA AND QUEENSLAND.
MELBOURNE, December 19. (Received Dec. 20, at 1 a.m.) The Sheffield Shield cricket match was resumed. Victoria in their first innings made 107 (Rigg 25; Thnrlow six for 00. Hurwood two for 33). Queensland in their second innings scored 158 (Gough 68; Blackle five for 28, Ironmonger two for 64). Victoria have lost one wicket for 10 in the second innings.
NEW. SOUTH WALES AT SOUTH AUSTRALIA. ADELAIDE, December 10. (Received Dec. 20, at 1 a.m.) In a Sheffield Shield cricket match against South Australia New South Wales, in the first innings, scored 814 (M'Cabe 69, Allsopp 77, Fairfax 30; Grimmett three for 01, Wall three for 74, Whitfield three for 67. South Australia in their first innings have scored 21 without loss.
