Walter Crabtree, of Romney (West Virginia), developed such a grouch against the authorities, who had several times arrested him, that he made out a list of six people whom he Intended to Mil. Before he was overpowered and captured he had called at three houses, killing one man at each place and care* fully crossing the name off the list as be disposed of them. His victims included a justice of the peace and a gaoler.
