ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. Charles William Gittens, aged 22 years was admitted to the Hospital yesterday morning suffering from injuries to hie nead and body. He was riding a motor cycle down the Leith Valley road on Saturday night when a motor car collided with him. He resides at Patinos street, Woodhaugb. INJURY TO FOOT. He had borrowed a rifle, and was about to leave on a'shooting expedition, n en j xu r , ld f, was accidentally discharged. the bullet entering his foot. He resides at Tomahawk. DEATH FROM POISONING. {Peb United Pbess Association.) , r T STRATFORD, December 14. -Mrs Lucy Kelly aged .64, the wife of M r H. Kelly, .a tailor, died this morning through drinking a disinfectant. Sfie left a note stating that it was her intention to take her life. DROWNED IN RIVER. li-EB United Pbess Association.) . WESTPORT, December 14. While attempting to swim the Buller niver at the Tiroroa railway construction camp this morning, G. Baker a married man, aged about 28. was drowned. A search for the body has so tar been unsuccessful. The deceased arnved a few days ago from ChristcHurch on relief work, and it is believed that his •wire lives in Christchurch.
