ACCIDENTS ON PUBLIC WORKS. STRICTER SUPERVISION URGED. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, December 14. Stricter supervision in regard to the use of explosives on public works was urged by a deputation from the New Zealand Workers’ Union which waited on the Acting Prime Minister (Mr G. W. Forbes). In reply, Mr Forbes said there was no doubt that the large number of accidents pointed to the need for stricter supervision. He would take the matter up with the Minister of Public Works to sec if a remedy could he effected.
