VAUXHALL CLUB RACES. The Vauxhall Yacht Club races were held on Saturday in perfect sailing conditions. In the race for yachts 12ft Bin and under, Colleen, Pupuke, Suzette, Sibmax, and Frolic were sent away to a fairly even start, Suzette leading the fleet by a narrow margin. All crews attempted to set spinnakers on the lead to the buoy off the stone wall, but trouble was experienced as the wind was fair on the quarter. The rounding times at the buoy off the stone wall were:— Suzette, 3hr 56min. Pupuki, 3hr 56min 30sec. Colleen, 3hr 57min. Frolic, 3hr 67min IBsec. Sigmax, 3hr 68min 40seo. On the run to the castle beacon Pupuki was the first to break out her spinnaker, the other crews losing some time in the change over.
