EXCHANGES IN THE HOUSE. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.! WELLINGTON, November fl. Party sallies were freely exchanged in the House or Representatives to-day during the speech of Mr W. D. Stewart (Reform member of Dunedin West) on the Appropriation Bill. In speaking of the manner in which the Labour Party had supported the Government, Mr Stewart said the Government members had acquired a permanent squint, looking over to the Labour Party.— (Laughter.) As the session had progressed ah the confidence of the Government had oozed out of it. The attitude of the Leader of the Labour Party had been interesting.
