Wilson to carir out her birthday evening and entertainment of members and their lady friends to a social gathering. During the course of the festivities Grand SecreJ' ary . ® ro - W. B. Steel was called upon to make a presentation to Bister Wilson, and in a happy speech made mention of the good work that Sister Wilson was -doing in the interests, of Bay Lodge in .parhcular, and the Order in general. He thereupon asked her to accept from Bay •Lodge an attache case as a token of their regard and esteem. Sister Wilson thanked the members for their handsome presort so kindly given. G.P. Bro. A. Wateon was then called upon to present to P.D.P. Bro. VV, B. Ruston the trophy, kindly presented by Sister Wilson for bringing in most members. Bro. Ruston suitably replied, and the singing of the National , Anthem brought a very pleasant evening 1 to a close. The fortnightly meeting of Linden Lodge was held in the lodge room on Tuesday. A.D. Bro: Pratt presiding over a fair attendance of officers and brethren. The' usual business was conducted, the bards’ report received, and sick pay and accounts passed for payment, after which the lodge adjourned for the purpose of entering into competition with Pride of Mornington Lodge' at shooting. ■ Mornington entered a strong'team, but Linden proved successful, the scores being 93 and 60. ■ Supper was then served, and an interesting evening brought to a close. All members are earnestly invited .to attend the meeting next lodge night when some very important business will ba discussed. The regular meeting of Enterprise Lodge was presided over by A.D. Bro. E. H. Bezett last Wednesday, there being a good number of members in attendance. The business of the meeting was quickly disposed of as all members were anxious to participate* in the . syllabus item, “ Wives and Sweethearts’ Night.” Though the adverse weather -no doubt kept a few at home those who did coma along spent a very enjoyable evening. The entertainment took the form of a dance, the music being supplied by Bro. A. N. Price. Items were rendered at intervals by Miss Leathley (song), Bro. J. Denny (song), Bro. J. H. Alexander (song). P.D.P. Bro. Cassells. Timaru (recitation), all of which were encored.
