THE PRINCE’S PILOT.
FIRST ROYAL AIR CHAUFFEUR. (From Oub Own Cosrespondent.) ■LONDON, September 26. The Prince of Wales has bought a twoseater light aeroplane, for private use. When officially in the air the Prince will still use the EA.F. machine piloted by Squadron-Leader Don. As his personal air pilot, the Prince ot Wales has appointed Mr E. H. Fielden of the reserve of Air Force officers, Mr Fielden has gained a reputation as a brilliant pilot. He served in an RA.F, fighter squadron, flying high-speed fiingler-seater fighter planes, was awarded the Air Force Cross last month, and was placed on the reserve of officers. Twenty-six years of age, he has • acted as personal pilot to Captain F. E. Guest, and flew Captain Guests entry in the King’s Cup Air Race round Britain this year. The selection was made from about 80 pilots.
