SUNDAY SERVICES.

_At Knox Church to-morrow both services will be conducted by the Rev. James Burns. The morning subject will be “ The Significance of the Cenotaph,” and the evening subject “ Some Proper Names.” * At First Church to-morrow the Rev. Professor S. F. Hunter will conduct the services. His subject in the morning will be “The QmTst of Peace,” and in the evening he will preach on “The Hebrew Faith.” Dr V. E. Galway will preside at the organ. At Rossbotham Hall to-morrow evening Mr Sibley will speak on “Christ’s Frank Answer to an Age-old Question.” The Rev. R. Ferguson Fish will preach at both services at the Caversham Presbyterian Church to-morrow. “ What Attitude Can the Christian Take to 1 War?” is the question to be discussed by the Rev. Albert Mead at the Congregational Church, Moray place to-morrow evening. Miss Guy wili sing Allitson’s “ The Lord is My Light.” ■ Both services at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow will he con ducted by the Rev, A. C. W. Standage. The morning subject will be “The Hidden Springs of Character," and that for the evening “The Healing Power of Christ.” At the North-East Valley Presbyterian Church to-morrow the Rev. John Collie will preach morning and evening. Mr Alexander Mill, of the Egypt General Mission, will conduct the Cargill Road Methodist Church service tomorrow morning, and will speak on “The Uplifted Vision.” The Rev. J. A. Lochore will preach in the evening on “,A Man’s Grip.” . The St, Clair Methodist Church services to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. J. A. Lochore in the morning and by the Rev. A. R. Penn in the evening, and will be followed by the monthly communion service. At ‘York Place Hail the fellowship at the Lord’s table to-morrow morning will be open to all Christians. Mr Frank Varley will preach at the evening service. “ The God of Deliverances ” will be the subject of his>. address. “ Turning Beliefs into Energies ” will be the Rev. W. H. Hocking’s sermon theme at the Dundaa Street Methodist Church to-morrow morning. The evening service will be conducted by Mr Alexander Mill, general secretary of the Egypt General Mission, who will sneak on “ Egypt’s Need and Egypt’s Saviour.” The choir will sing “ The Radiant Morn.” " The Vision Glorious ” will be the Rev. C. Maitland Elliss’s subject at the United Congregational Church to-mor-row evening, when Mrs Eric Ewart will sing the solo part in the anthem ‘‘Seek Ye Lord.” In the morning the' subject will be “Watchman, What of the Night? ” At the Higher Thought Centre, Y.W.C.A, Hall, Cassilda Carmen, will conduct two healing meetings. First 7 p*m. to 8 p.m., “ Oiir (Dual Personalities;” and second, 8.15 p.m, to 0 p.m., “Every Man That Asketh Receiveth.” Peace, silence and healing concentration will be held for those sick or in trouble at both meetings. At the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow Armistice Sunday will be observed. In the morning there will be a church parade of Boy Scouts, Rovers and Cubs. Mr Tuckwell will speak on “The Jamboree Spirit,” and Mr L. A. North will sing. In the evening the subject will be “ Seek Peace and Pursue It.” The choir will render a hymn study, the male quartet will sing “ Rock of Ages,” and Miss Evelyn Shepard “ Unto Thee, O Lord.” The St. Andrew Street (Tabernacle) Church of Christ will hold Sunday school anniversary services to-morrow. The children have been specially trained in part-singing, and will sing at the services, both dfternoon and evening. Concerted singing by the tiny tots of the kindergarten, solos by the scholars, and chorus singing by the school will be a feature of the anniversary. The Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will conduct both services at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart Street, to-morrow, preaching in the morning on “The Responsibility of Speech,” and In the evening on “ The Carcass, and the Eagles,” (An Armistice Day sermon).' Miss Mary Somerville will sing the solo, "Gloria,” and the choir will render Woodward’s anthem, " The Day Thou Gavest.” “ The First Instalment of the Christian's Inheritance" will be the subject in St. Stephen’s Church in the morning and “An Ambassador of Christ ” the subject jn the evening, when the Rev. Thomas, Miller will be the preacher. The choir will sing the anthem “There is a Green Hill,” and the solo “Thanks Be to God ” will he sung bv Miss J. M'Millan. * Central Mission services to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. G. B. Hinton. “Armistice Day Reflections,” will be the evening subject. The service will be continued by Mr W. M'Ewan, librarian of the Public Library, who will give a lantern lecture on “ Scotland’s Part in the Great War.” Mr G. Bell will sing “O God Have Mercy,” and the choir will sing the anthem “Consider and Hear me.” ARMISTICE DAY OBSERVANCES. The official service on Armistice Dnv will be held ip St, Paul’s Cathedral at 7.30 p.m. and will he attended by the Mayor and councillors, officers of the military district, non-commissioned officers, South African veterans, Returned Soldiers’ Association, St. John Ambulance Brigade, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and Boys’ Brigade. Special music will he rendered by the Cathedral organist, Mr E. Heywood, and choir. The preacher will be the Rev. L. Richards. The Last Post and Reveille will be sounded by the band of the Second Cadet Battalion, under Lieutenant Napier. The collection will he devoted towards the purpose of providing wireless sets in the hospital and sanatoria. Armistice Day reflections will find some expression in a lantern lecture tomorrow evening in the Octagon Hall. “Scotland’s Part in the Great War” will he the lecture to be given by Mr W. M’Ewan, librarian of the Public Library!
