A new use has been found for Scotland’s national musical instrument, the bagpipes. When a Port Bannatyne (Buteshire) boat hirer took a party of visitors on a fishing expedition he included a piper in the party. Off they set, equipped only with hand lines, and came back later in the evening with 10Q0 fish. The boat hirer says that the party’s success was due entirely to the piper. Pipe music, he avers, attracts the fish*
