On leaving school he joined the Dunedin office of Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., and remained with the firm up to the time of his death. Mr McLennan had occupied the position of wool auctioneer for his firm for some years, and was generally recognised as one of the ablest officiators with the hammer in the Dominion. “Roddy” M f Lennan had a bright, cheery manner, and he was highly esteemed by his employers and his fellow employees. He was equally popular with the farmer clients of his firm, who will miss his pleasing welcome when they come to Dunedin.
