WRESTLING.
VANCE AND EKLAND MATCHED,
At a meeting of the Otago Wrestling Association last night it was decided to match Farmer Vance, the light-heavy-weight champion of Canada, with Clarence Ekland, the light-heavy-weight champion of the world, at the Drill Hall on Saturday night. Those who attended the bout last Saturday night were delighted with the wrestling and with the demonstration of Vance, who is both powerful and nimble, and will worry Ekland throughout the 10 rounds. Hia headlocks are particularly effective. Prior to the big bout amateur bouts will be held, and these will be refereed by Garden!, who will also demonstrate the holds with T Walker. Farmer Vance will work out at the gymnasium on Thursday night The reduced prices decided on by the association should assure a big house.
