THE GREAT NICOLA.
The Great Njcola and his mystery show will be presented at His Majesty’s Theatre next Saturday evening. I n order to stage this big spectacular show of mysteries, Nicola brings with him a company of artists and assistants and 50 tons of scenery and effects. Master of the magic of the world, described as “ the only man who ever mystified the mystics of the Orient and beat them at their own tricks.” Nicola comes to the Dominion with 26 years of globe-trotting research into unsolved wonders. Nicola presents his show in five scenes, all in lavish and spectacular settings. The first is China, showing startling mysteries. The gorgeous costumes and draperies used in this scene were embroidered by the Foo Chou Imperial Embroidery Family in Shanghai. Next is India, showing Nicola as the famous Hindu fakir, Hassan Bux, presenting his Oriental mysteries before Dasmatalla Palace at Hyderabad. Then comes Egypt, showing weird and incomprehensible feats from th eland of Pharaoh, followed by thrills and laughs in the Argentine, and finally the stage of Nicola's own theatre in Monmouth. Illinois, featuring modern illusions and wonders.
