ROSLYN RATEPAYERS.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Eoslyu Ratepayers’ Association was held last evening in the Kaikorai School. Mr P. L. 'Ritchie occupied the chair, • and there wore' also present— Messrs Bell, Campbell, Dennis, Findlay, Goodlet, Haigh, Hunter, Sunderland, Sutherland, Sherriff, Williamson,’, and" Dr Wills. A letter was received from-Mrs .Campbell, Kaikorai Valley road, expressing thanks for the improvements effected by the City Council ■ through the association near her own and surrounding properties.—Received; The town clerk (Mr G. A. Lewin) wrote advising that the additional lighting asked for in Littlcbounie crescent would receive the council’s attention shortly and that the completion of the tar sealing ofjßoalyn centre would bo proceeded with without delay.—Received. 1 The chairman reviewed, the various council works in hand in’ the -district, and satisfaction was expressed with the advancement made. The widening" and grading of Highgato near Columba College was progressing, and would be completed soon. The remaining sections of the block were likely to be included in the widening. ■ A member spoke of the vandalism that had recently been perpetrated at the Roslyn baths, and, after a general discussion, it was resolved to write to the police authorities asking for a rigid supervision of the baths and that; the culprits should be brought before the court if they could be - found. It was also decided to write to the City Council asking that certain improvements bo made before the bathing season was opened. • ' . Several members spoke of new works requiring attention in the district, and the secretary was instructed to write to the City Council setting them out in detail. It was decided to obtain a map of the district so that members might he able to revjcw new works at the meetings, and it was also decided to apply to the town clerk for a copy of the council’s new Year Book.
