DANGER OF DUAL CONTROL. FATAL ACCIDENT IN ENGLAND. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, September 25. (Received Sept. 25, at 8 p.m.) The danger of dual control in an aeroplane is revealed by an unusual accident in which one of the pilots fainted and fell forward on the controls, causing the plane to go into a shallow dive. The second pilot had insufficient time to rectify the matter and the machine crashed. The first pilot was fatally injured, and the other was seriously hurt. —Australian Press Association. . (Received Sept. 25, at 0 p.m.) A Russian plane, “Land of the Soviets,” which is cn route from Moscow to New York, landed at Dutch Harbour, Unalaska, on Tuesday evening.—Australian Press Association—United Service. Unalaska is one of the most important of the Aleutian Islands.
