LAND VALUATION.
IMPROVED SYSTEM AIMED AT. i, . It uas his intention to have held a conference during the recess, but he had been told by the, valuer-general that it would have meant the calling of all the officers of the department to Wellington, thus holding up all work in the meantime. The proposal, therefore, had not been pro* ceeded with.
