COLLISION WITH A COW.
TRAIN DELAYED FOR HALF AN HOUR. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, September 25. Tho Fruitvale road, between New Lynn and Croyden road, on the north line, was the scene of a railway accident last evening. Tho 8.13 p.m. train, from Auckland to Henderson was in the vicinity when, without being seen by either the driver or tho a cow strolled on to the track. The impact was severe and the sudden application of tho brakes startled tho passenger^. The cow was killed outright, and the two leading wheels of tho leading bogie on the engine left the rails. The train was delayed for 32 minutes whilst tho carcass was removed and the engine wheels were replaced on tho line. No damage was gone to the track
