IMPERIAL CRICKET CONFERENCE.
ARRANGEMENT OF TOURS.
(From 01-r Own Correspondent.) LONDON, August 23. The chi'ef business of the Imperial Cricket Conference. when it met at the Oval this week was to make arrangements for., various tours by AI.C.C. teams and by colonial sides visiting this country. ■,-Under the original programme South Africa was to visit England in 1933, hut as it wae unable to manage this, the international programme is being revised Ng-w.Zealand and India were both down to visit England in 1931, but the probability is that New Zealand only will be here.- and, provided their board agrees, the .West Indies’ team will come in 1933. instead of 1932. and India in 1932, instead of 1931. The probable programme is;— 1930-31: England visit South Africa and India. 1931: New Zealand visit England. ■ .1931-32: South Africa visit Australia. •- 1932: India visit England. ■ 1932-33: England‘visit Australia. 1933: West Indies in England, 1034: Australia -visit England. 1933; South Africa visit England. With regard to the question of turf wickets a resolution was passed to the effect that the Imperial Conference was glad to learn that efforts were being mode in South Africa to establish turf Wickets The hope was expressed that these efforts would be successful, and that they will be extended in all countries where the climatic and other conditions permit. Lord Harris occupied the chair in the absence of- Field-marshal- Lord ' Plunier, president of AI.C.C. The following wore present:—Mr A.' J. Webbe (England). Air P. H. Mallett and Dr R.
