A Toronto message states that-280 entrants, including two women, started to-day- in the 15 in lies Wriglcy Marathon swim. At the end of the .third lap George Young, ot Toronto, and winner of the Catalina swim in 1926, gave in, and Mrs Evelyn Armstrong, of Detroit, who finished’ third in' the women's swim a week ago, was forced out by cramp. Edward F. Keating, of New’ York, won the Marathon swim and the first' prize of 25,000 dollars. Ernest Viurkoetter, Who was second, won 5000 dollars.—Australian Tress Association. • August 31.
