EARTHQUAKE AT BROOME
A TWO-MINUTE TREMOR. NO DAMAGE REPORTED. * . (United Press* Association.) . (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) PERTH, August 19. An earth tremor lasting two minutes was felt at„ Broome on Saturday. Houses shook and windows rattled. No damage is reported. The seismograph at Perth recorded a fairly severe earthquake, which probably occurred in the ocean bed off the north-west coast, about 1100 miles from Perth.
