The Kaklha, which arrived hero late on Sunday night from Napier, sailed last night for Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Napier and Gisborne. • The Waiplata la duo here to-day from Bluff to load general cargo. She Is to sail this evening for Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. The Kaituna was to leave Westport last night with a cargo of coal for discharge at Bluff and Dunedin. The Wlngatul Is due at Dunedin on Thursday from Auckland, via ports, to discharge and load general cargo. She Is timed to sail on Friday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Kaitoke, which has been under overhaul and survey at Auckland, has been recommissioned, She was to leave Auckland yesterday for Gladstone, Queensland, to load coal for New Zealand. Under charter to the Atlantic Union Oil Company, the electric oil tanker Brunswick is reported to have left Los Angeles on August 1 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. She Is expected at Auckland about August 24. After discharging and loading at Cook Islands tho Union Company’s steamer W’alpahl was expected to leave Rarotonga on August 15 on her return trip to Auckland, where she is due on Thursday. The steamer Newton Pine left Westport on August 12 for Makatea Island, via Papeete, to load another phosphate cargo. According to advice from Sydney the steamer Strathlorne is en route from Australia to Nauru Island to load a phosphate cargo for Auckland. After completion of discharge at the northern port she is to go to Chill to load a nitrate "cargo for discharge at Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle. The Canadian Cruiser was to leave Montreal on August 15 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland. Wellington, and Australian ports. The local office of the Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Constructor Is expected at Auckland about August , 29 from Montreal. The Shaw, Savill, and Albldn Company advises that the Talnul, which arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from London and Southampton, was to sail yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton, theneo Port Chalmers and Tlmaru to discharge her Home cargo. The vessel Is due at this port about Friday. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Canadian Highlander was to leave Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin to discharge the remainder of her general cargo from Montreal. , The vessel Is due here on Saturday, and will sail on August 26 for Wellington and Auckland to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal.' MISHAP TO KIA ORA. 4 (Pee United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 19. The reason _ for tho Kla Ora’s return to Wellington was the discovery of a leak, due to the corrosion ot one of tho shell plates on the port side in the vicinity of the stokehold. Tho ship not being deeply loaded, tho plate was above tho waterline, and tho influx of water was easily kept down by the pumps. Temporary repairs will be effected by riveting an ’’ overall patch ’’ over the defective plate, and the vessel Is expected to get away to-morrow. BULK OIL FROM SOURABAYA. The Shell Oil Company advises that the tanker Emile Deutsch de la Meurthe is expected at Lyttelton about the end of the month with bulk oil from Sourabaya. —O.
