OTAGO RUGBY LEAGUE.

A meeting of the Otago Rugby Football League executive was held last evening. Mr X Kennedy presided. The secretary of the Christian Brothers' Club wrote ‘ stating that the committee had agreed to the alteration made in the date for the club’s match with the premier Canterbury team for the Gore Cup.—The secretary staged that he had communicated with the Canterbury League advising that September 21 was the moat suitable date for the match. The secretary of the New Zealand League advised that Mr F. Turnbull, of the Otago League executive, had been appointed manager of the South Island team which will leave Christchurch on September 4 for Auckland.—The chairman said Mr Turnbull was to be congratulated on his appointment, which was also a compliment to the Otago League. The Judicial Committee met to discuss the case of W. Wilkinson, of the Pacific Club, being ordered off on Saturday in the match Pacific v. City. The committee ordered Wilkinson to stand down until the end of the season. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The following is the draw for Saturday’s senior grade matches, which will be the final of the Maxwell Cup competition : City v. Christian Brothers, at the Caledonian Ground, at 3.15 p.m. (Mr G. Falgar) ; Pacific v. Kaitaugata, at the Oval, at 8 p.m. (Mr L. Marlow) ; Kaikorai v. Athletic, at Chisholm Park, at 3 p.m. (Mr B. Jacob). Representative Junior Match.—Otago v. Marist Brothers (Christchurch), at the Caledonian Ground, at 1.45 p.m. (Mr F. Percy).
