MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The committee of the Society for the Protection of Women and; Children met in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon.. There were present;—Lady Sim (in the chair) D r Mes--dames Park, Roberts. Jones, ,Todd, Adam-' son, Hiett, Cameron, Foster, Alisa Runciman, the Rev. V. G; Bryan King, and the secretary. Sister, Nora. ' Before - the usual business was commenced, all members stood as a mark of respect, and a resolution of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mr J. M. Gallaway. Tributes-to the work for the society by Afr Gauaway were paid by Lady Sim, :Dr Siedeberg-APKin-raon, the Rev. Mr King, and Sister Nora, - "'as also resolved that, a letter be sent to Mrs Murray, sympathising with’ her in the'death of her son. In connection with the Family Allowance Act, it was resolved that the secret .tary again write to the.
