DUNEDIN CENTRE. A meeting of the executive of the Dunedin. Bowling Centre was held last night. The president ,(Mr D. C.-Cameron, jun.) occupied the chair, and there were 18 members present, WELCOME. The president , extended a welcome to the i old '■ members of the executive, and also to the new members, and expressed the: hope that they would have a pleasant year. . •' PRESENTATION. Mr Cayzer referred to the proposal to bring down a Daylight Saving Bill hi Parliament this session, and suggested that an effort should be made to have the period of its operation extended. He agreed that half an- hour per day was sufficient. It was decided to ask the local members of Parliament to endeavour to secure the passage of legislation providing for daylight saving from October till the middle of April. .. INTERCLUB MATCHES.. It was decided that the Saturday interclub matches be commenced on November 2, and 1 that entries for them should close on Saturday., 31st inst. The arrangements for the draw were left in the Hands of Mr A. J. Sullivan.Messrs J. Allan,. J. C. Whitelaw, ‘ and R. H. Todd were’re-elected to the Match Committee.. ... FOUR-RINK CHAMPIONSHIP. It was decided that the games for the four-rink championship should consist of 21 heads, and that the first games should be commenced not later than November 16. A motion by Mr-Foster that the games should be. played on Monday nights, and that if the weather were unfavourable, they should be decided on Tuesday nights was lost, and it was decided to notify secretaries of chibs that the matches should be played early in the week. ADESS SHIELD. The matches for the Adess Shield were set down, for March 22-and 24. CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS. . It was_ decided to play the champion of champions matches on Saturday, Match .1. and Monday, March 3. The games will be started on the Saturday morning. ELDERLY BOWLERS’ DAY. It was decided to hold elderly bowlers’ day oh February 15. SUB-COMMITTEES. The following sub-committees were set up; _ _ . Selection Committee for iuterprovincial games: Messrs Todd, Rowley, and Ledlie. ... Greens Committee, to arrange greens Cor centre fixtures; Messrs Worthington, Whitelaw, and .Proctor.
