RADIO SLOGAN
“ MORE TONE AND LESS NOISE.” VANCOUVER, July 19. The famous exhortation—“ More tone and less noise ’’ —of Owen Jack, the musical genius in Bernard Shaw’s novel “ Love Among the Artists,” has apparently become the new slogan in Canada. The Canadian National Railways radio is arranging to start on October 1 a rehroadcast of British concerts. The idea is to give, Canada better music from British sources instead of so much American jazz from the United States’ stations, which now overwhelm the air.
