(Received May 5, at 7 p.m.) A young man applied for shelter at a tramps’ night refuge and produced papers identifying himself as the former Archduke Franz .Joseph of Austria. The shelter authorities were naturally . incredulous, and passed on the papers to the police, but extensive investigations proved the papers to be correct.’ The Archduke declared that he was penniless, and was working his way on foot to Trieste.—Australian Press Association.
