MR OWEN YOUNG’S PLAN. GERMANY’S ACCEPTANCE. (United Press Association.! (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) PARIS, May 4. (Received May 6, at 0.5 a.m.) Dr Sohacht has accepted the principal points of Mr Owen Young’s plan, which is a via media between the German and Allied plans to solve the reparations problem. The Allied delegates have agreed to give the proposals consideration, and have' requested their submission in writing. The British and Japanese unquestionably approve of Mr Young’s proposals, and it is believed that the Italians will support them, but the attitude of France and Belgium is doubtful. Decision must be suspended pending a return of the first French delegate.—Australian Press Association.
