ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION

(Received May 3, at 11 p.m.) A gift of £lO,OOO by tson, the well-known confectionery manufacturer, towards the forthcoming Antarctic expedition has solved the major difficulties. It is described as a most opportune gift. The official title of the expedition will be the British, Australian, and New Zealand Antarctic Expedition. It has been definitely arranged that the Discovery will he loaned by the British Government and will sail from Capetown for the Antarctic.
