ODDFELLOWS.

The fortnightly meeting of the Maori Hill Lodge, No. 80, was well attended, and was presided over by Bro. Henry Jones. In addition to routine business two candidates were initiated into the Ordei by the officers of the lodge. Bro. R. E irkham, D.D.G.M., who paid his first official visit, was received in due form and was congratulated by Bro. Jones on attaining the high position of D.D.G.M. for South Otago District. Bro. Kirkham was invited to occupy the chief chair of the lodge, and, in doing so, he thanked the members for the privilege extended to him. Bro. MTvor, 1.P.D.D.G.M., responded to the vote of welcome to the visitors. The fortnightly meeting of , Linden Lodge, No. 19, was presided over by Bro. M'Hardy, N.G. There was a fair attendance. _ Several sick claims were received and passed for payment. Bro. MTvor, 1.P.D.D.G..M., introduced Bro. Kirkham, D.D.G.M., on his first official visit to the lodge. Bro. Kirkham was welcomed with full lodge honours, and suitably responded. A special report from the Lodge Executive was received recommending that a memorial die erected in the lodge to the memory of late Bro. F. Wilkinson, Grand Secretary, and that, the memorial should take the form of a new respect board with an enlarged photograph of the late member inserted as a centre piece. P.G. Bro. Reidy, of the Star of Liiiwood (Christchurch), responded to the vote of welcome to visitors. The meeting of St. Kilda Lodge, No. 87, was held on Wednesday evening, and was presided over by Bro. A. Beveridge, N.G. There was a fair attendance, several apologies 'being received from members who were absent from town. A report from the United Friendly Society Dispensary Board was received, the report showing a very satisfactory return from both the Princes street and King Edward street shops. Two sick claims were received and passed for payment. ,
