—On a Sussex farm of 600 acres artificial sunlight is used successfully in egg production, while pigs are reared better and more quickly, crops are quickened, nnd flowers made to bloom in seven days instead of seven weeks by the same means Trees are larger in diameter in summer than in winter. They also vary in this respect from day to day. being larger from noon to twilight than from twilight to noon.
