MEAT TRADE DINNER.
MR R. S. FORSYTH’S GUESTS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) D „ LONDON, May 27. tu xr v f European manager of the New Zealand Meat Board) terminated last evening his year as pr id-ent of the London Meat Traders’ and Drovers’ Benevolent Association. A year ago he was m the chair at the annual dinner S™ 1 v usually held at Connaught Booms. Last evening he sat at the head of one of the tables as the host of a number of personal and business friends. Hib guests were:—Mr J. W. Dulanty (Acting High Commissioner for the Irish Free State), Mr W. A. Wilson (Canadian trade Commissioner!. Mr J. W. Dimond ** 1 African Trade Commissioner), < i- ' • Huxley (assistant secretary of the Etqpire Marketing Board). With these four gentlemen Mr-Forsyth is associated on the Imperial Economic Committee and the Empire Marketing Board. His other guests were:—Mr Hal Williams, Dr J. C, Forsyth. Mr T. J. Pembfton, Mr H. T. B. Drew. Mr S. L. A. Mastm, Mr Alexander Crabbe (secretary th _e High Commissioner’s Department), Mr L, D. M* Gow (secretary of Messrs Oalgety and Co.), Dr I, Moran (in charge of the Low Temperature experiments on- meat and fruit at the Experimental Station at Cambridge), Major H. Dajtry (director of Messrs Gordon Woodroffe and Co.), and Mr W. B. Whitney, Mr E H. Fitter, Mr S. H, Fitter. M p . H * K Hayes, Mr J. I. Hamilton, and Major W. H. Milburn (all prominent bmitnneld traders engaged in the New Zealand n\eat trade). The dinner was a very happy affair characterised by a tew brief speeches and a very excellent programme oi music and sketches.
