HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS. ANNUAL AQUATIC MEETING. The annual swimming sports meeting of the Otago Boys’ High .School was held yesterday afternoon in the Municipal Baths, when there wa s an excellent attendance of pupils and friends of the school. The programme, which was a long one, comprising more than 20 events, wae carried through in quick time, and for this expedition Mr B. H. Howard, who superintended the meeting, was mainly responsible. Mr J, P. Northey acted as starter, and the judges were Messrs F. H. Campbell, T. J, L. Rantm, O. J. Begg (diving), and M. G. M'lnnes. Messrs A. Watt and d. Williams were timekeepers. ,N. Davie and W. G. de Clive Lowe were efficient press stewards. The outstanding performer was JR. Geddes. who, in addition to winmng the Junior Championship, broke three records —the Junior Championship 33 1-3 and 1 2*3 yards races, of which D . Olds was the previous holder, having made, his records in 1927, and the First-year Scratch Race, the record for which was established by W. L. M’Lean in 1928. W. L. M’Lean secured a record also, in the Senior Plunge, breaking his record of the previous year. All the events were well contested, and the entries were very satisfactory.
