'The grand. total of - licenses ..in'; force; at the end of April was 86,664, compared t with. 46,511 at the end of March, but" this,; is . not regarded as extraordinary,! as a drop is .always, shopm 'at, the teginning 'bf a fresh renewal; period,!--maay listeners-in being slow to renew their licenses. The next batch of figures should'show a considerable increase on the present totals.
