ETHICS IN SPORT.
TO CHS BDITOm. Sir, —As requested by Mr Allan, I subscribe my name with pleasure, and trust that he will now answer, through your columns, the questions already put to him. In reading over the letter by Messrs M'Kay, Cheyne, and Conley in your issue of April 29, I note that they state in one part of it that Mr Steele protested before the disputed, dance at the Outram sports began, and further on in the same letter they say that he did not lodge his protest within 15 minutes after the event, as is compulsory. How does this come about? They then go on to say that they have been called upon to deal with many dirty problems in the past. It appears as though they will have to pick thjs mote out of their own eyes, and start straight away with the Outram offenders.—-I am, etc.,John Campbell (“Tout Suite ”) May 1. '
TO THE EDITOR. SIR, —I wish to thank you for granting me space in your journal during the controversy on the above subject. Like my fellow-contributor. Mr William Steele, I wish to thank the secretary of the Outram Sports Club for substantiating my contentions, and, so far as I am personally concerned, this correspondence is now closed. —I am, etc., F. Clayton,
