WAIKOUAITI NOTES.
(From Oub Own Correspondent.) ‘ WAIKOUAITI, May 2. FLAG SWAMP SCHOOL JUBILEE A meeting is to be held at Flag Swamp on Monday to go into the matter' of observing the school jubilee, about which there is considerable enthusiasm locally. The convener, Mr A. Wilson, anticipates a good attendance. MEN’S SOCIAL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Waikouaiti Men’s Social Club was held in the Presbyterian Hall on Saturday, when a fair number, of memb gathered. Mr M'Cly niont (president) occupied the chair. An interesting syllabus for the coming session was submitted and appeared. The opening meeting is to be addressed by Sir Charles Statham, and will be held during May. The officers for the ensuing year are:--President, Mr Osborne M'Fie* vicepresident, Mr C. T. M'Callum; bon. see retary, J. W. Timmins.
