LADIES’ HOCKEY.

Tho •weekly meeting of the executive of the Otago Ladies’ Hockey Association was held on Monday evening. .-Present* Mrs 6. A. Nelson (in the chair), Misses White, Adams, Taylor, Turnbull, Kingston, Ireland, and Hill. “ The annual report and balance sheet of tho New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Association -was received 'and read.- One para* graph of special interest to-players read as follows; —’“Weight'of sticks: Associations are reminded that the rule restricting the weight of sticks to 230 z comes into operation at the beginning of this season. In view of tho fact that this will be insisted on at tournaments this, yeni’, players will bo well informed to commence the season with sticks not over this weight.” Two more entries were received for the B Grade competition from Momona and Triangle, and it was decided to divide this grade into two sections. Miss Yorston (Wellington) wrote agreeing to act as one of Otago’s delegates to the New Zealand Association, The secretary was instructed to get in touch with another ex-Otago player now resident in Wellington to act as a second delegate. In connection with the St, John Ambulance carnival, it was agreed to take charge of the sweets stall for one night. All donations of sweets should be left at the Sports Depot.
