WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE. OUTCOME OP, DESPONDENCY. (United Press Association.) ' (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) , SYDNEY, April 29. : Despondent owing to. unemployment and a fancied mistake in love, Marjorie Talk, 30 years of age and single, used her last twopence to operate- the gas meter in a Darlinghurst flat on Friday morning and asphyxiated herself. Clara Hess, aged 24, is dead, and Phillip Hess, aged 28, is in a critical condition. The throats of both victims were severely gashed with a razor, while the man nlso bad a bullet wound in the head. Neighbours heard screams, but they arrived too late to render assistance. The husband was observed hacking his own throat in the bathroom.
