Italian bankers and industrialists provided the funds with which the sealing vessel ■“ Heimen ” was purchased. Piloted by a Norwegian captain, Jacobsen, a noted Arctic navigator, she will proceed to the northern coast of NorthEast Land, Grand Gillies, Victory Islands, Wyche Islands, and the northern and western coasts of Franz Josef Land. Ski parties and dog sledges, which will explore the pack ice, will depart from Bergen on May 15.—Times Cable.
