(5) For greater use of the City Baths bv the school Children at the Lowest Possible Cost. (6) For encouraging manufacturing industries by giving land at cheap rents and supplying cheap electric power. (7) For pressing for the immediate building of the Post Office. MAYORAL ELECTION. Cr. C. H, HAYWARD (With the exception of Cr Scott) Is the SENIOR COUNCILLOR, Who has Not Occupied the Mayoral Chair. He has served years in the Dunedin City Council, and was for many years Councillor for Koslyn. He has held Chairmanships for nearly 10 years, which include the Gas, Library, and the General Committees. He is a sitting member of the Otago Harbour Board, Dunedin Fire Board, Otago Expansion League. Also exmembe'r of the Dunediu Drainage Board and, the Technical School Board of Governors. He has taken a keen interest in sports of all kinds, being vice-president of many clubs. He has beben chairman of several private , concerns, and founded the firm of C. and W. Hayward, Ltd. He hag been a true friend to the workers. He took an active part in acquiring for the city Tepid Baths, Women’s Rest Rooms, Trams to Opoho, and Surfbathine Conveniences. His long experience of nearly 20 years of municipal service has amply qualified him for the Office of Mayor of the City of- Dunedin, and if elected is prepared to devote his whole time to furthering the interests of his native city.
