SOUTH MELBOURNE FIRE
HEAVY DAMAGE TO TIMBER MILLS. INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, April 27. According to a statement made to the police by the night watchman, incendiarism is suspected the cause of the fire which did about £30,000 worth of damage to the mills of Millar’s Timber and Trading Company at South Melbourne in the early morning. Drenching rain, aided the firemen. The police motor cycle patrols just prior to the fire made a tour of inspection of the yards.
